A show at the heart of inclusion
In January, the Municipality initiated the project 'C'est beau !' in support of inclusion.
On June 7, the Farlédois discovered the result of this multi-faceted participatory project combining dance, diversity, Olympic values, and drawing. This winter, Diane de Navacelle de Coubertin, a descendant of Pierre de Coubertin, launched, alongside Yves Palmieri, the mayor, the project linked to the Olympic Games and the associated drawing competition based around friendship, respect, and excellence. A drawing competition that led, on June 7, to a day centered on the values of Olympism and inclusion. On the agenda: prize-giving to the winners of the drawing competition, presentation of the show 'C'est beau !' by the Compagnie 6ème Sens on the Place du Moulin de La Capelle, and screening of the clip 'Les ambassadeurs c'est beau !', produced as part of the project by middle school students and the PHAR 83 association.
COMMITMENT
During this day, mayor Yves Palmieri presented the gold medal of the City to Diane de Navacelle de Coubertin, for her commitment to multiple cultural, educational, inclusive, and ecological actions, to continue making known, carrying, and evolving the values of Olympism. The mayor recalled how much inclusion is at the heart of municipal concerns: 'For many years, the City has affirmed its commitment to inclusion. The 'C'est beau' operation, this day, and the establishment of the IME des Morières in the heart of town are illustrations of this desire to support the movement for a change in perspective on disability.' The mayor added: 'As for the show 'C'est beau !', it is quite simply powerful and captivating! A creation matching the stakes, which is to bring the inclusion of disability back to the heart of our lives and concerns through culture, sport, etc.' Driven by choreographers Cécile Martinez and Sophie Bulbulyan, the show features 12 professional dancers, with and without disabilities, from different cultures, combined with young people in vulnerable situations or with disabilities. Ten young people from the IME Les Morières took part in this wonderful adventure! In January, during a week of immersion in Cabasse, alongside the professional dancers, the young people built an inclusive choreographic piece which they then revealed to the public.
