It was not without emotion that the mayor celebrated this anniversary, which held a special significance for her. Indeed, it was on her initiative that the themed weeks were created in 2004. As deputy mayor in charge of youth, the elected official had wanted to offer low-cost leisure activities during school holidays for the benefit of teenagers aged 9 to 17. When celebrating this anniversary, Hélène Arnaud-Bill stated: "In 20 years, 16,000 young people have benefited from the themed weeks! But all of this would not have been possible without the quality of the supervision and the motivation of the counselors. I would like to thank the former directors, Philippe Lhommeau, Yann Guezel, Haithem Sanhaji, and the current director Virginie Serrano." "The goal was to offer them quality activities, with appropriate supervision. The diversification of workshops (rugby, horse riding, climbing, capoeira, theater, culinary workshops, musical comedy, and the organization of trips in France and abroad) ensured the success of this wonderful initiative," added the mayor, with satisfaction. Demonstrating the success of the formula, this activity has grown from 150 spots to 1,400 spots intended for the municipality's youth during school holidays.
