SAGEM, guarantor of social cohesion
In early July, for the third consecutive year, SAGEM held a check presentation ceremony at the MIS de la Beaussière.
As part of the metropolitan Contrat de Ville, SAGEM supports associations for specific projects in the Romain-Rolland residence.
PRIORITY NEIGHBORHOOD
Indeed, the Romain Rolland residence, classified as a Quartier Prioritaire de la Politique de la Ville (QPV), benefits from reinforced resources put in place by the Commune, the Métropole, and the State. “The objective of the residence's social landlord is to improve the living environment and strengthen social cohesion within this neighborhood,” recalled Hélène Arnaud-Bill, mayor of La Garde. “These initiatives are carried out in collaboration with the actors of the Politique de la Ville, State, Métropole, Département, and the Commune de La Garde,” added Charles Ignatoff, general manager of SAGEM.
THREE ASSOCIATIONS
In the amount of €9,900, the checks were presented to three associations. Thus, the check received by “Les Petits débrouillards PACA”. They offered three weeks of science workshops in the Romain-Rolland neighborhood, in the form of thematic weeks aimed at promoting a climate of collective well-being. Second rewarded association: the FACE Var foundation. It conducted an eco-gesture awareness campaign for the residents of Romain Rolland, who had been previously identified by eco-ambassadors and trained by partner companies. Finally, the third recipient: UFOLEP 83. Organising social-sports activities outside regular hours and at the foot of the buildings, these actions are particularly adapted to the needs of the territory. They were carried out in partnership with local actors last summer.
