Over 80 projects carried out in 2023
In mid-June, FACE Var held its general assembly at the Léo Lagrange stadium on the theme of sport and inclusion.
80 PROJECTS A theme that resonated with this Olympic and Paralympic year and which represented an opportunity to raise awareness and promote sports-based inclusion initiatives carried out by the FACE community, the Fondation pour l'Inclusion and its clubs.
Thus, from June 9 to 16, the Fondation FACE and its community mobilized around inclusion through sport. In Toulon, nearly 200 people were present on the evening of June 11, including businesses and public partners committed to inclusion and solidarity. During this evening, Nathalie Alexandre, the president, and Cécile Roblez, the director, presented the moral and activity report.
They reviewed the activities of the year 2023. Then, the financial report was detailed by Eric Antoine, the treasurer.
Last year, FACE Var carried out more than 80 projects on the themes of education and guidance, inclusion through employment and integration, access to rights, and ecological and solidarity transition. "These 80 projects aimed to bring together public, private, and non-profit actors to fight against exclusion, discrimination, and poverty. They aimed to meet the challenges and demands of the Var territory.
These projects were custom-built with our partners," recalled Nathalie Alexandre.
Thus, more than 10,600 people benefited from these actions. CIVIGAZ ACTION The president added: "More than 240 companies mobilized for our projects, which corresponds to 570 employees and 4,780 hours of sponsorship for various audiences (school children, job seekers, etc.). In 2023, we started the AGIR program (Global Integration of Refugees), a version in Var of the national program supported by the State.
And we developed our actions for access to rights, in particular at the Espace de vie Social in Val des Rougières in Hyères." At the same time, FACE Var developed eco-citizen training projects in the neighborhoods and the CIVIGAZ initiative with civic service youth who go out to meet residents to raise awareness about the use of domestic gas.
"Finally, in 2023, we celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Opéra de Toulon, in the presence of many partners and the president of the Foundation, Jean Castex. This was an opportunity to assert the main guidelines for the years to come, including the new visual identity 'FACE, La Fondation Pour l'Inclusion'."
Finally, after the General Assembly, a round table on the theme of sport as a factor of inclusion brought together high-level athletes, including Guillaume Mélanchon, president of the Rugby Fauteuil association. Public partners: the State, Conseil régional, Département, Métropole TPM, the municipalities of Toulon, La Seyne-sur-Mer, Hyères, La Garde, and the businesses that volunteer in these actions.
