The great takeoff of community life
On September 7, more than 100 associations gathered at the Vallis Laeta sports park for the major festival of associations.
This annual event is a true takeoff towards discovery, sharing, and the desire to live life to the fullest. In La Valette, you can practice a multitude of activities (sport, culture, environment, remembrance, memory of time, etc.). Thierry Albertini, the mayor, surrounded by his elected officials, visited all the stands and highlighted the crucial role of community life for a municipality. He thanked all the volunteers who give their time tirelessly. Indeed, this 2024 edition met the expectations of the Valettois who came to meet the volunteers who bring the local community fabric to life. And questions flowed, as did new memberships: "Hello, I was wondering, what does your association do? Can my children come and try it out? But this is great, where can I register? I love this sport, when and where does training take place? Can you give me a demonstration? But this is incredible, I've been looking for this activity for so long? Ah, finally an association fighting for our friends the cats? I would like to go to Africa to volunteer, could you guide me in my project? Do you offer a family discount? How long have you been around? Isn't it too dangerous as a sport? I love theater and reading, where do your workshops take place? There is so much to do for the environment, I would love to join your association? At what age can children start practicing karate?"
