APY Méditerranée and Résineo®, actors in climate protection
APY Méditerranée, a specialist in urban space planning in région Sud, places climate protection at the heart of its corporate challenges.
Based in La Farlède, APY Méditerranée supports Var local authorities with soil de-sealing projects. Thus, during the summer in La Garde, two schoolyards underwent work. They were redesigned and implemented to bring more greenery, shade, and coolness.
The APY company carried out the work on the three schoolyards (Séverine Mignoné, Maurice Delplace and Elsa Triolet) in La Garde. In the coming months, other schools will undergo these developments.
Projects carried out in partnership with Résineo®, the French manufacturer of permeable floor coverings designed for outdoor space planning. A partnership that the Var company wishes to perpetuate in the region. AESTHETIC DEVELOPMENTS “These renovation projects make it possible to create aesthetic and high-quality outdoor developments, while promoting the water cycle and reducing heat islands, thanks to the properties of Résineo® coverings.
Indeed, the aerated structure of the coverings makes it possible to reduce the temperature of the covering by an average of 5°C compared to a solid material of the same color,” said the director of APY Méditerranée.
Following the inauguration, he welcomed the progress: “As specialists in urban and recreational developments in Var, we are highly sought after by local authorities within the framework of implementing the Water Law. Demand is growing in this market, and we operate in many Var municipalities. We chose to work with Résineo®, an innovative French brand that offers a range of aesthetic, high-quality coverings that are also, and above all, adapted to intensive use by local authorities.”

These projects pave the way for future renovations. Other schoolyards in Bouches-du-Rhône or Alpes-Maritimes are currently underway.
