The City inaugurates the Maison du Patrimoine

During these two days, numerous sites were open to visitors. The public was able to discover a rich program, which started with the inauguration of the Maison du Patrimoine et des Associations. After cutting the traditional ribbon, the mayor invited visitors to go inside the building to discover the results of the renovation and admire the pictorial collections on display.
Previously, this centuries-old building housed the Hôtel de Ville. From now on, it will therefore be dedicated to associations, with a specific room to host exhibitions.
At the end of this sequence, meeting inside the cour de l'horloge, visitors were able to discuss the rich historical and communal heritage, from theater to old stones. In short, there was something for everyone.
There was also a historical walk in the city center. Led by Thierry Albertini and his municipal team, the guided tour allowed visitors to discover the history of the municipality and its heritage.
HISTORICAL WALK Then, from the Jardin de Baudouvin to the city center, the public discovered heritage in all its forms: from culinary art to botany, in Finally, at the headquarters of the groupement de la gendarmerie du Var, adjudant Moulin, president of the ACSPMG (Histoire et Patrimoine de la gendarmerie), presented an exceptional heritage document dating from 1816.
“It was a poster promoting military recruitment! This poster for the gendarmerie royale was distributed to all units of the 16ème légion of the kingdom, and more particularly in the Var, while part of the association's heritage collections was presented at the musée de la gendarmerie et du cinéma de Saint-Tropez,” concludes the president of the association.
Puis, du Jardin de Baudouvin au centre-ville, le public a découvert le patrimoine sous toutes ses formes : de l'art culinaire à la botanique, en passant par le théâtre ou les vieilles pierres. Bref, il y en avait pour tous les goûts. Il y avait aussi une balade historique en centre-ville. Emmenée par Thierry Albertini et son équipe municipale, la visite guidée a permis de découvrir l'histoire de la commune et de son patrimoine. Enfin, au siège du groupement de la gendarmerie du Var, l'adjudant Moulin, président de l'ACSPMG (Histoire et Patrimoine de la gendarmerie), présentait un document patrimonial exceptionnel datant de 1816. « Il s'agissait d'une affiche vantant le recrutement des militaires ! Cette affiche de la gendarmerie royale était diffusée dans toutes les unités de la 16ème légion du royaume et plus particulièrement dans le Var tandis qu'une partie des collections patrimoniales de l'association étaient présentées au musée de la gendarmerie et du cinéma de Saint-Tropez », conclut le président de l'association.
