EKONEA, resource and support center for environmental transition careers
On September 27, the first resource and support center for environmental transition careers in the Sud region was inaugurated at Lycée Paul Langevin.

Après une présentation du centre de ressources et d’appui aux métiers de la transition environnementale, les élus ont découvert le dispositif porté par l’UIMM PACA puis visité les ateliers de l’établissement et rencontré les apprentis en BAC PRO MELEC. La séquence s'est terminée par la signature officielle d'une convention de partenariat.
The inauguration took place in the presence of Renaud Muselier, numerous partner companies, and the first young beneficiaries of this training program dedicated to environmental transition careers. After a presentation of the resource and support center for environmental transition careers, the elected officials discovered the scheme supported by UIMM PACA in the presence of: UIMM: then visited the establishment's workshops and met the apprentices of the BAC PRO MELEC. The event concluded with the official signing of a partnership agreement.
REGIONAL DYNAMICS In the context of global awareness of the environmental emergency, the EKONEA program presents itself as an ambitious regional response to address major challenges. Concrètement, EKONEA is a consortium supported by GIP FIPAN in partnership with the association NEEDE and UIMM. Together, the partners unite their strengths, expertise, and networks to accelerate the environmental transition in the Sud region, thanks to a GIP FIPAN: innovative and qualifying training offer.
For its part, GIP FIPAN is a major player in training at the heart of Éducation nationale. For 20 years, it has played a central role in the development and management of innovative training programs. As a key player in the professional training network in the Sud region (FORPRO PACA), it offers more than 300 training courses spread across more than 60 sites.
Participating in initiatives of national and international scope, its mission is to support employees, job seekers, and young people, effectively meeting their integration, progression, and retraining needs. Furthermore, NEEDE is deeply committed to promoting the environmental transition in the Mediterranean region. In close collaboration with public and private partners, it develops educational, awareness-raising, training, and research initiatives aimed at supporting the strategy and projects of territories for a sustainable ecology.
Finally, UIMM bridges the gap between skills and local needs. Thus, with its CFAI Provence (Centre de Formation des Apprentis de l'Industrie), it is responsible for identifying the recruitment needs of companies thanks to its expertise in light industry sectors and the fields prioritized by EKONEA, particularly in terms of environmental transition. This field expertise allows UIMM to identify and characterize the economic realities of the sectors concerned and to encourage the participation of its network of companies in educational engineering work.
On the ground, CFAI Provence strengthens links between learners and the local economic fabric, thereby facilitating their professional integration into sectors in full environmental transition.

EKONEA will meet three major challenges: 1. DEVELOP a qualifying training offer focused on environmental transition careers in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. 2.
SUPPORT training organizations in transforming their standards by integrating new and essential skills. 3. RAISE AWARENESS among future professionals about the challenges of the ecological transition.
