On this occasion, elected representatives of the CDG 83 and agents of the establishment presented to visitors all of their missions, notably those that have experienced strong growth such as the preventive medicine service. MANY SKILLS In recent years, under the leadership of its Board of Directors chaired by Christian Simon, mayor of La Crau, the Centre de Gestion de la Fonction Publique Territoriale du Var chose to equip itself with a strong establishment, bringing together many skills in order to best respond to the challenges of local authorities and public establishments of Var related to the field of human resources. On its stand, the CDG 83 thus presented to Mayors, Presidents of intercommunalities, elected representatives, and service directors, the nature of its missions – mandatory and optional – and the sectors that the institution has chosen to develop to align effectively with the expectations of its partners.
The Centre de Gestion du Var wished not to limit itself to the sole mandatory powers defined by the legislator, such as the organization of competitive exams and professional examinations or career management. Furthermore, the establishment has strongly developed its preventive medicine service in recent years with the recruitment of new doctors and nurses. Thus, new local authorities (Toulon, Hyères, Saint-Raphaël, Fréjus, and the Métropole de Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée) have joined the CDG 83 for the medical monitoring of their agents.
Centre de Gestion du Var PREVENTION SERVICE From now on, the CDG 83 is in a position to respond to all of its partners in this essential area. Concerned about the well-being of agents, the Centre de Gestion has also strengthened its occupational risk prevention service with the recruitment of a psychologist.
Furthermore, in terms of ethics and to ensure neutral and impartial decisions, the CDG 83 has opted for collegial training within the framework of its missions 'ethics and secularism referents for agents' and 'ethics referent for local elected officials'. Finally, faced with the attractiveness issues of the Fonction Publique Territoriale, the Centre de Gestion has implemented, alongside France Travail and the CNFPT, training courses for the profession of municipal secretary general.
