Founded and directed by Jean-Pierre Blanc, and chaired by Pascale Mussard, since 1986, the festival promotes and supports young international fashion creation. Since 1997, a competition has been open to emerging photographers, and since 2016, a competition has distinguished new fashion accessory designers. It is recognized as the oldest fashion competition for young professionals in the world. Several prizes reward the competing designers thanks to donations from the festival's partners, who are committed to supporting them in the long term. This year, the festival's loyal partners have committed to supporting the new generation of designers: CHANEL, le19M, la Librairie 7L, Première Vision, LVMH, Hermès, American Vintage, la Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, le DEFI, le groupe Galeries Lafayette, L’Atelier des Matières, Mercedes-Benz, l’Alliance du Lin et du Chanvre européens, Kering, Sterling International, Icicle, Supima, Première Classe, Les Teintures de France...
