The new 2024 / 2025 season is dedicated to laughter, poetry, and virtuosity, with a performer's mood here, a touch of burlesque there, in the spirit of Jacques Tati and Pierre Étaix. Tender, zany, timeless characters, funny and offbeat stories, serious subjects told with humor. Music will not be left out, as exceptional concerts line the program, while the three must-see events (Festival de contes, Festival de Théâtre amateur, and Festival International des Musiques d’Écran - FIMÉ) return for our greatest pleasure.

Sunday, November 24 at 5 p.m. Camerata Vocale Concert of Sainte-Cécile, patron saint of musicians.
Founded in 2000, Camerata Vocale has been directed since 2009 by Adèle Pons, a young choir director who graduated from the Conservatoire de Toulon. This musical ensemble tackles a varied and demanding repertoire, ranging from the Renaissance to the contemporary period, prioritizing originality and emotion. The programs are always built around a theme, in order to offer a listening focus to the audience. This show, Marimbaroque, was specially created for Sainte-Cécile in La Valette. It combines a choir, a cellist, and two percussionists. This encounter results in a hybrid music, blending baroque with the sounds of the marimba and multicultural rhythms drawn from world popular traditions.

This is what clearly distinguishes him from the boa. Two characters wearing suspenders and slippers burst onto the stage. They seem to be twins or, at least, are connected to each other. An Alexandre and a Vialatte. They move in a surprising and precise way in a rectilinear universe where everything seems straight, but nothing really is. The perfect place to let us hear texts by Alexandre Vialatte, from Chroniques de la Montagne, Bestiaire, or L’Oiseau du mois. One speaks, the other listens. One starts, the other finishes. Both suddenly bring to life an astonishing racehorse. A few musical vignettes, also offbeat, punctuate the unexpected journey of these two oddballs. Alexandre Vialatte (1901-1971) Translator of Thomas Mann, Friedrich Nietzsche, and above all Franz Kafka, Alexandre Vialatte was also an author of novels, short stories, and chronicles combining satirical humor and melancholic lucidity, in a demanding and inimitable language.
