With Littoral Sport Academy, sports for children with disabilities

Since its creation 10 years ago, Littoral Sport Academy has welcomed children with disorders or mild disabilities, in perfect inclusion within its various activities and schools, such as the football school, and was recognized in 2024 as a "Club inclusif".

Its director wants to go further by creating a real school for these young people with disabilities. This has now been achieved with the opening of the adapted multi-sports school at the Sainte Bernadette school, which symbolises the culmination of two years of work in collaboration with the Comité départemental du sport adapté.

25 DIFFERENT SPORTS On this occasion, Christelle Danays stressed: "This project responds to a real need because children with mental disabilities, and particularly the youngest between 6 and 12 years old, do not have real solutions for sports practice, notably for discovering multi-sports. With Littoral Sport Academy, we are able to offer nearly 25 different sports supervised by sports educators."

A sports association under the 1901 law operating in the Toulon area, the structure aims to introduce children to the world of recreational sports. Members progress at their own pace throughout the year and are accompanied by qualified sports educators. The school offers a wide variety of sports activities, with up to 40 sports activities designed for children.
