Learning citizenship for young elected officials

The Conseil de Ville des Jeunes is an assembly that gives young people a voice in an advisory role. The deliberations do not have the force of regulations but become so after approval by the Conseil municipal or the mayor. It introduces young people to political life, allowing them to take initiatives and gather ideas to improve, through projects, their municipality's environment based on their vision as children.

During their term of office, the young elected officials learn how the Municipalité works. Thus, the holder of a representative mandate has duties before having rights. They responsibly commit to being particularly assiduous at meetings, involved in the work, respectful of their elected colleagues, and available to their schoolmates.
