The Var remembered those who Died for France

The prefect of Var presided over the departmental ceremony, in the presence of civil and military authorities at the Monument aux morts, place Gabriel Péri in Toulon. In La Valette-du-Var, the Town invited elected officials, associations, and the population to commemorate the National Day of tribute to those who Died for France during the Algerian War and the combats in Morocco and Tunisia at a gathering in front of square du Dr. Chemin, avenue François Duchatel.

For Thierry Albertini, mayor of La Valette and vice-president of TPM: "We thank those who, by their presence, paid tribute to those who gave their lives for France.

This ceremony is of particular importance for our collective memory and our shared history."
