Assigned to Paris in 2015, Paul Zanassi held high-level positions in operational readiness within the État-major de la Marine and then the direction de la maintenance aéronautique. At the same time, he was an auditor of the 55th session 'armament and defense economy' of the Institut des Hautes Études de la Défense Nationale (IHEDN). From 2020 to 2022, he served as head of the division soutien aéronautique of the État-major de la force de l'aéronautique navale, where he designed and launched the logistics reform of the force.
From 2022 to 2024, he served as deputy to the officier général numérique des armées in Paris, where he took part in defining the digital aspect of the current Loi de Programmation Militaire and the transformation of the digital governance of the armed forces.
From September to December 2024, he held the position of head of the division Données-Performance Opérationnelle of the État-major de la force de l'aéronautique navale, in charge of the digital transformation of the force.
Capitaine de vaisseau Paul Zanassi is a knight of the ordre de la Légion d'honneur, officer of the ordre national du Mérite and holder of the médaille de l'aéronautique.
He is married and has 4 children.
