With a series of victories, the men's team remains undefeated in Nationale 2. "We have lost three small sets since the beginning of the season," specifies Steve Peironet. This result is all the more remarkable given that the group had to overcome significant injuries, including bone avulsions and shoulder problems for some players.

INDIVIDUALS

Despite these challenges, the team managed to maintain its momentum. During a match against Monaco, joint first, played in front of nearly 800 spectators in the François de Leusse gymnasium, the players secured a clear 3-0 victory. "We have reached a new milestone, both in terms of sport and in the structure of the club." Among the women's team (Nationale 2), the enthusiasm is just as palpable. The players finished this first part of the season in a promising 4th place for the holidays, a very appreciated and encouraging result for the future. "The girls have shown great progress. It is a team full of potential." This first half of the season also revealed promising talent. Bryan Rafidison, recruited two years ago, is establishing himself as a major asset, while Baptiste Enfoux, after physical setbacks, is finding his professional level again. "These players bring a lot to the team. Their progress is spectacular," confides the sporting director. Furthermore, the integration of new players, including a talented setter and an experienced Argentine middle blocker, has reinforced the collective. "It is a united group, which gets along very well together and shares a mindset focused on high standards and progress." Michaël Lapinta, head coach, has played a major role in this. Knowing the players perfectly, he has established a dynamic of high standards and cohesion. "Michaël was an obvious choice. He shares the same vision as the club and knows everyone's strengths and mentalities. This allowed us to build on our momentum from last season."

EXCITING CHALLENGE

The second half of the season promises to be crucial. Among the objectives, the club aims for promotion to the elite and a great performance in the Coupe de France. "We are on a mission this year," insists Steve. The round of 16 against Marseille will be a key moment: "It is always complicated to play there, but we hold all the cards." To remain competitive, the players maintain a rigorous training schedule, even during the holidays. "We resumed training on December 27 to stay on track," he specifies. Beyond the sport, the club relies on the appeal of its events. "We want to offer a real show, with entertainment for the whole family," explains the director. Free entry, dancers, areas for children, everything is designed to create a friendly atmosphere. This philosophy is bearing fruit as the matches attract a large and enthusiastic crowd, sometimes up to 800 spectators. "It is unique, even in Ligue B, to play in front of so many people. It motivates the players and strengthens our bond with the supporters." And, with nearly 500 registered members, the club continues to grow at a remarkable pace. The business club, which brings together around sixty partners, plays a key role in this development. "It is a virtuous circle because spectators attract partners, and the latter allow us to invest more. This enthusiasm comforts us in our sports-entertainment project."
