Thierry Albertini: "In 2025, a coherent and shared environmental strategy"
For the mayor: "2025 will be a milestone year, where we will see the birth and completion of emblematic projects designed for every stage..."
During the New Year wishes ceremony, Thierry Albertini announced the mandate granted to the SPLM to start the project for the new Les Oliviers multi-reception center, a modern and adapted facility to meet the evolving needs of early childhood. He added: "We will continue with the delivery of the Pagnol and Mistral schools after the February holidays, the final phase of our 'schools of the future' in the south of the municipality, witnessing our commitment to education."
This project is accompanied by an expanded parking offer (130 spaces) by depaving the soil while creating a new tree-lined square near the school, always in line with our logic of rethinking the neighborhood starting from the school. Near the Villon nursery school, the development of square Briand, finalized by the Métropole branch, will offer a green oasis where young schoolchildren and parents can meet. The living environment will also be highlighted with the embellishment of place de Gaulle, which will host the Foire aux Plantes in the spring on a fully renovated and tree-lined forecourt.
Subsequently, the Jaurès and Pagnol squares will also benefit from greening works, as part of major metropolitan projects."
AN ANNEX TOWN HALL IN LA COUPIANE "Regarding public services, we will mark a turning point in La Coupiane, thanks to the acquisition of the former Caisse d’Épargne in 2024. We will develop this venue into an annex town hall, equipped with an automatic teller machine and various services to meet the essential needs of the neighborhood's residents. This will lead us to apply for the France Services label.
And, the opening of the Argelas cemetery will make it possible to meet the needs of families and future generations.
Furthermore, the rehabilitation works on the Saint-Jean church, an emblematic heritage of our town, will also be finalized at the end of the year. This restoration will be celebrated with an exceptional inauguration just before the holidays."
But 2025 is not limited to these achievements. This new year also marks the launch of a vast participatory and innovative project around environmental transition. ASSOCIATING ALL GENERATIONS Thierry Albertini explained the approach: "With the association NEEDE, which created an unprecedented scientific mediation system based on the challenges of ecological transition, we are going to set up the (Ré)génération program, which will mobilize elected officials, municipal staff, associations, economic players, students, and residents in an inclusive and ambitious approach.
Together, we will define a coherent and shared environmental strategy, matching the climate and social challenges of our time. This shared vision will make it possible to involve all generations and all active forces in building a more sustainable and responsible future for La Valette-du-Var.
2025 will be a pivotal year, not only because it will be the last full year of this mandate, but above all because it will mark an important stage in the development of our municipality."
By retracing the municipal team's track record and sharing the projects, Thierry Albertini showed that he had remained faithful to his initial commitments: "This record is consistent with the program for which you elected us. Because what guides our action and that of our services are the needs and aspirations of the population. Always with the same objective to 'protect, participate, and live together', while maintaining rigorous management, a controlled budget, and projects for everyone."
