The BIJ participates in the empowerment of young people
Heir to the Point d’Informations Jeunesse (PIJ), dating back to the 90s, this municipal service became the Bureau Information Jeunesse (BIJ) in 1994.

It was in 2003 that it moved into the Maison de la Jeunesse located opposite the Lycée du Coudon. In this regard, Alain Dumontet emphasizes: 'Over the years, the BIJ has earned its stripes in terms of performance, visibility, and success. Every year, it presents itself in middle and high school classes. It is expanding its operations with new actions shared with the Éducation nationale and the AFPA de Toulon. It helps and loves its young people, supporting them in a healthy empowerment and in their search for a positive future'!
OPEN SPACE

For those aged 11 to 30, it is a place of welcome, information, and support for young people on topics that concern them: studies, jobs, training, daily life, rights, health, leisure, etc. It is also open to parents, teachers, social workers, and partners. Young people are welcomed freely, free of charge, and anonymously. There is documentation, digital resources, work and meeting spaces. The BIJ also organizes events (Salons de l’orientation ou de l’emploi, Forum de la Santé Jeune, Starmouv’, Fantastikon, etc.). On December 11, Hélène Arnaud-Bill, mayor of La Garde, and Alain Dumontet, deputy mayor delegated to youth policy, celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of the Bureau Information Jeunesse. On this occasion, representatives of the BIJ from Rocbaron and La Londe-les-Maures, the various youth directors from recent years, numerous elected officials, and local authority staff were present.
