The Comité du Souvenir Français re-elects Gérard Boetti as its president
On January 18, the Comité du Souvenir Français of the Vallée du Gapeau held its 9th annual meeting, in the presence of Yves Palmieri, mayor of La Farlède.
Under the honorary presidency of Yves Palmieri, the 74 members present proceeded to elect the board, which reappointed Gérard Boetti to the head of the Comité. President Boetti opened the meeting by reading the moral report. Then, Éric Dubosc, president of the section of the Souvenir Français of La Farlède, detailed the activity report, which was as dense as it was diverse. The president recalled the numerous actions carried out by the local section, particularly during patriotic ceremonies, of which the 80th anniversary of the Débarquement de Provence was the highlight. The section also worked on memory vigilance and the duty of remembrance with middle and elementary school students. For his part, Emmanuel Parizot, secretary, submitted the moral report and presented the activity report for the year 2024. The various reports were unanimously adopted by those present and represented. Finally, Philippe Gambet, treasurer, presented the financial situation, which was also put to a vote and unanimously adopted. As of January 18, membership is growing very rapidly thanks to the work of president Éric Dubosc, who achieved 35 additional memberships. Furthermore, the president submitted the composition of the new Board of Directors to a vote. It was unanimously adopted. This meeting also saw an award presentation, as Alexis Lamarche (16 years old) received the flag-bearer badge of the Souvenir Français. Following the discussions, the president closed the annual meeting. In conclusion, the assembly sang La Marseillaise, conducted by Philippe Gambet, trumpeter.
