NEW POLICE STATION Thus, in 2024, to guarantee the well-being of all, the Ville strengthened security in the municipality by deploying a certain number of resources, as Thierry Albertini, the mayor, explains: 'Following the increase in our municipal police staff, who now ensure a sustained presence on the ground, we inaugurated a new municipal police station at the beginning of the year, thereby offering premises equipped with cutting-edge technology and adapted for increased efficiency, featuring a secure reception hall, modern offices, a command room, and a dojo for specialized training.'
The deployment of dedicated fiber allowed us to guarantee a reliable and secure data transmission essential for setting up our video protection system. We also invested internally to strengthen our cybersecurity in order to secure and protect our citizens' data. This year was also one of prevention with the establishment of our Conseil local de sécurité et de prévention de la délinquance et de la radicalisation (CLSPDR).'
The first plenary session resulted in various actions, such as setting up so-called anti-violence benches. A project manager dedicated to coordinating the CLSPDR took up her duties in early January within the municipal administration and will contribute to setting up 3 working groups dedicated to crime prevention, public peace, and the protection of vulnerable people.
RISK PREVENTION Regarding major risks, in early 2024, the Ville inaugurated the Mouillères retention basin, whose 5,000m2 meets the challenge of protecting local residents from floods while beautifying the neighborhood.
