From Le Plan to Le Thouar, along the chemin des paysages, natural public spaces are gaining ground in the town.
THE SOUL OF LA GARDE Creation of the Elluin parks, the garden of the villa Jeanne, the Thydde Monnier park, extension of the forest of Thouar, ongoing development of a new park in Accusano to bring the Nature du Plan park into the town centre, green is taking over the town in a big way!
Marie Curie, self-consumption solar panels, air quality in canteens, and so on. The savings results are real. Take the mas des Séries for example, where our investments have reduced the energy bill by 30%."
FLAGSHIP PROJECT "This 1.5-hectare urban park will be the cornerstone of our flagship project, which is the redevelopment of the town centre. With its new green corridor, La Garde maintains its rank as the green lung of the metropolis. We will consolidate these advances in 2025 with the inauguration of our first two routes of the chemin des paysages, linking the town centre to the forest of Thouar.
Ultimately, La Garde will have 24 km of pathways."
The mayor adds: "We have always paid attention to energy savings with the Canadian well at the mas Jouve, the Bâtiment Durable Méditerranéen OR level label. Since La Garde is a family-oriented town, all nurseries are certified "écolo crèche", making it the first town in Var to obtain this distinction. And, the Town will open the Lucioles nursery in September. It is a sustainable construction, with a budget of 2.7 million, which will further increase the public service offering with the support of the CAF.
The elected official also addresses the question of the soul of La Garde: "We work so that you inherit the happy and supportive soul of the town. In La Garde, we reach out, from the cradle to seniors. In every neighborhood, the town is there.
In La Garde, we have major friendly events, those we created like the Médiévales, the Christmas village, or the Color Run and the Téléthon. In La Garde, we have a unique network of associations. Volunteering still has meaning, a value.
We have offered them a Maison and we financially support all these volunteers without whom the association world would not exist.
Maison is the name we like to use to name our local services: Maison de la jeunesse, Maison des parents (the first in the department), Maison de la petite enfance, Maison des seniors, Maison du tourisme, Maison des associations. And in partnership with the State, a Maison France service and with the Department a maison de la nature (...)
This Garde-style soul is also symbolized by the elected officials and municipal services around me. With a municipal team like ours, everything becomes easier. Add the competence of our staff, and you get a town that is taken as a model. You get La Garde!
