La Fondation VINCI pour la Cité supports the association Le Rocher

It all started with an observation made nearly 25 years ago by the association Le Rocher. There is a social divide that dramatically separates priority neighborhoods—real pockets of concentrated poverty—from the rest of society. In response to the resulting crisis of confidence, Le Rocher is banking on human connection. Its mission is to settle in the heart of neighborhoods to rebuild ties with residents and offer collective or individual support. This living together helps maintain social bonds, the starting point of the educational and social work carried out by Le Rocher, which revolves around 3 areas. First, educational support with homework help, organizing camps and outings, and street activities. Second, parenting support with discussion cafés for women, support groups, and individual assistance. This also involves organizing outings and camps for families. Finally, civic and professional social integration with work camps and projects carried out with local partners from integration services and sociolinguistic workshops.

INTEGRATION

Thanks to this presence, it creates the conditions for a friendly and lasting relationship and fosters the conditions for integration. Today, the branches are located in 9 priority neighborhoods of the city policy. They are opening in Bondy and Les Mureaux in Île-de-France, in Grenoble and Rillieux-la-Pape in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, in Toulon and Marseille in the Sud region, in Nîmes in Occitanie, and in Roubaix in the Hauts-de-France. The teams leave their usual living environment to come and live in the heart of the priority neighborhood. Thus, the couples in charge of the branches move with their families into the neighborhood high-rises 24/7, thereby creating bonds of trust that establish the foundation for comprehensive support. In Toulon, Aurélie and Nicolas Gariel left Île-de-France with their daughter to live in the heart of Sainte-Musse and continue the activities of Le Rocher within the neighborhood, which began 20 years ago. To renew its vehicle fleet and allow its activities with residents to continue, both inside and outside the neighborhood, the Sainte-Musse branch submitted an application to the Fondation d’entreprise VINCI pour la Cité to purchase a new vehicle. Now, sponsor Benoît Lethuin can support the association by making his skills and network available to help the structure move forward with its project. During the ceremony, the check presentation took place in the presence of Salvador Nunez, Operational Director of VINCI Autoroutes.

LA FONDATION D’ENTREPRISE VINCI POUR LA CITÉ

Created in 2002, the Fondation VINCI pour la Cité supports community projects that provide solutions for the social and professional integration of the most disadvantaged. It encourages initiatives as close as possible to the areas of operation of VINCI companies and illustrates the Group's desire to be a sustainable partner for the citizens and communities for whom it designs, builds, and manages numerous structures and infrastructures. The network of VINCI Foundations and Funds has 16 sponsorship structures in France and internationally. They provide dual support with financial aid and the commitment of VINCI group employees. To date, more than 5,255 projects have been supported, over 9,055 employees have been involved, and more than ​​​​€73 million in aid has been awarded.
