Over 1,600 housing applications in the territory
On January 24, in La Londe-les-Maures, the members of Conférence Intercommunale du Logement (CIL) of Méditerranée Porte des Maures (MPM) met.
The CIL aims to adopt the plan de gestion de la demande de logement et d’informations du demandeur and validates the Convention intercommunale d’attribution.
CHALLENGES OF SOCIAL HOUSING
To date, over 1,600 active applications have been registered within the Communauté de communes. Between September 2023 and June 2024, 6 workshops were organized. The Commission Habitat also meets every quarter. In the Méditerranée Porte des Maures territory, the CIL, which defines the social housing territorial policy, is composed of the six mayors of the CCMPM and social landlords and, on the other hand, the associations working with housing applicants. For the president of the Intercommunalité: "We are experiencing a real housing crisis. Supply is becoming scarcer both nationally and in our territory. I am aware of the challenges involved in reforming the allocation policy for social housing. The CCMPM, leader of the reform, is committed to redesigning the management of housing applications and the social housing allocation policy. The challenge is to facilitate access to housing for households and to make the social housing allocation system more legible, transparent, and equitable." François de Canson adds: "The CIL has retained three main guidelines. First of all, to better meet the needs of priority and vulnerable groups while ensuring a rebalancing of the social housing stock. Next, to facilitate residential pathways and encourage transfers by promoting access to housing for young active people and those losing autonomy or living with disabilities. Finally, to strengthen cooperation between social housing stakeholders by working on harmonizing the practices of social landlords."
OUTLOOK FOR 2025
Furthermore, the commission des cas complexes will be set up during 2025. Its objective is the examination and follow-up of files of housing applicants requiring collective work with social landlords and associations. Finally, workshops will be led by the CCMPM (leader of the reform) to address the challenges inherent in the management of social housing allocations and guarantee transparency for applicants. Additionally, the CIL will have to issue an opinion on the Plan Partenarial de Gestion de la demande et d’Information du demandeur. The purpose of this plan is to improve applicant information and simplify allocations with the help of the scoring grid.
