First steering committee meeting in La Londe-les-Maures

Alongside François de Canson, mayor of La Londe and vice-president of the Région Sud, all partners were present, including the secretary general of the Préfecture du Var, to review the progress of the program. REINDUSTRIALIZATION From revitalizing downtown La Londe to strengthening local businesses, as well as renovating iconic locations, the “Petite Ville de Demain” program implemented ambitious developments in its very first year. Indeed, the framework agreement, signed on May 26, 2023, incorporated three fundamental ambitions. First, the revitalization of businesses.

Next, the reinforcement of structural facilities. Finally, the renovation of housing and the enhancement of the town center.

The reindustrialization project for the Bormettes site was also mentioned. This investment program amounts to €20.6 million and includes 19 actions, of which €4.5 million is funded by the municipality, €6.5 million is contributed by the private sector, €7.7 million is provided by the Région and the State, and €1.2 million by the Communauté de communes Méditerranée Porte des Maures. On this subject, François de Canson specified: “The framework agreement includes all support mechanisms from the State, the Région, and the Banque des Territoires, with the unique feature of private sector participation in the rollout of public investments, much like the Bormettes project.”

De la redynamisation du centre-ville de La Londe au renforcement des commerces de proximité, en passant par la rénovation de lieux emblématiques, le programme « Petite Ville de Demain » a, dès sa première année, mis en œuvre des aménagements ambitieux. En effet, la convention-cadre, signée le 26 mai 2023, intégrait trois ambitions fondamentales. Tout d'abord, la redynamisation des commerces. Ensuite, le renforcement des équipements structurants. À ce sujet, François de Canson a précisé : « La convention-cadre inclut l’ensemble des dispositifs de soutien de l’État, de la Région et de la Banque des Territoires, avec, comme particularité, la participation du secteur privé au déploiement des investissements publics, à l’instar du projet des Bormettes ».
