Maison départementale de la Nature du Plan. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, Fabrice Hyber is a French contemporary artist globally renowned for his experimental and multidisciplinary artistic approach combining painting, sculpture, video, installation, and performance to translate the interaction between the work, the viewer, and the world. SCIENTIFIC REFLECTION His work, deeply rooted in scientific, environmental, and social reflection, has been exhibited in major institutions such as the Fondation Cartier, where his 2023 exhibition La Vallée was a milestone, the Centre Pompidou, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, as well as at the Biennale de Venise.

One of his most iconic works is "L'Homme de Bessines". "Surexposition" is composed of three original works, created in context and in immersion with the landscape of the Espace Naturel Sensible du Plan, as Fabrice Hyber explains: "Through a set of works specially designed for the exhibition, I propose to discover a place dear to me, that is La Vallée of my childhood in Vendée. From my very first visit here, I saw a common base and the creation of a landscape that initially lacked quality but had 'potential'."

From a desolate landscape, we have gradually succeeded in building a landscape made of knowledge, creativity, and richness. The exhibition, composed of three works and films, allows visitors to discover La Vallée.

The site's architecture, with its bay windows, makes the two locations overlap." Photos by Philippe OLIVIER.
