The interim relief judge validated the continuation of work on the resource recovery center

Hervé Stassinos, mayor of Le Pradet, looks back on the genesis of the project: "The idea is to put at the service of the Pradétans all the features previously available in the existing waste disposal site, but by rethinking waste processing and enabling its recovery. Indeed, resource recovery centers are designed to promote reuse, limit overconsumption, and be part of a circular economy approach. Rich in a significant network of associations and in an integration process, the City intends to invite local associations to take part in the project."

Following the public inquiry into this project, which took place from April 3 to May 5, 2023, the City received a favorable opinion without reservation from the inquiry commissioner. For its part, the Métropole Toulon Provence Méditerranée (TPM) approved project declaration No. 2, which acts as a compliance update for the PLU, on November 28, 2023, during its Metropolitan Council.

In 2024, Hervé Stassinos issued a building permit to the Métropole, by municipal decree, allowing the creation of this recovery center. It is this authorization of execution that 8 associations wanted to suspend, through a petition and a brief registered on January 9 and 24. However, their arguments were deemed "ineffective and lacking any serious character."
