All gardeners with the city and the CAUE du Var!
On February 5, the Conseil d'Architecture, d'Urbanisme et de l'Environnement (CAUE) du Var organized a visit to the school group's new courtyard.

An information session about the City's project, cited as an example as part of an approach based on addressing the climate and educational emergency. The goal is to cool the courtyards, adapt plantings to the climate, and raise awareness among children. A project funded by the City, the Agence de l'Eau, and the State.

PARTICIPATORY APPROACH The garden courtyard project of the Sandro school, described as remarkable by all visitors, integrates the specific needs and constraints of the site, identified during workshops with students and consultation sessions with all educational stakeholders (teachers, parents, facilitators, school staff). This new green island at the heart of the school delights young and old alike!
It combines play areas, green, inclusive, natural, and cooled spaces. The garden courtyard of the Sandro school spans 3,600 m2, including 2,000 m2 of green spaces, 1,100 m2 of draining soil, and 500 m2 of impermeable soil.
107 fruit trees and shrubs and 716 shrubs and perennials were planted there.
