A pediatric department designed for the well-being of young patients
The healthcare facility has opened a pediatric department, meeting a growing demand for specialized care for children and their families.

The pediatric team's mission is to guarantee a quality healthcare journey tailored to the youngest patients. Pierrick Sanseigne, director of Clinique Saint-Michel, highlights the importance of this project: "This project was close to the hearts of our teams as well as the doctors, all of whom are highly committed to caring for children. We have seen a significant increase in pediatric procedures, rising from 1,016 in 2021 to 1,515 in 2023, with forecasts exceeding 2,000 children for 2024."
VARIETY OF PATHOLOGIES

The new department treats a variety of pathologies, ranging from ingrown toenails to skin tumors, as well as procedures in orthopedics, ENT, stomatology, urology, and ophthalmology. With this initiative, the clinic positions itself as a center of excellence in pediatric surgery. To make the hospital experience more pleasant, this pediatric space is equipped with 8 beds, a playroom, and a relaxation area for parents, creating a reassuring and playful environment. In collaboration with the association Attrap’rêves, the rooms are decorated with soothing themes such as "space station", "street art", and "fantastic animals". A Super Mario playroom is also available to the children, helping to reduce their anxiety related to surgical procedures. "Undergoing surgery can be a major source of stress for a patient, especially when it comes to a child. Our goal is to make them forget the hospital environment," concludes the director. Thus, the clinic is committed to offering a caring environment tailored to the needs of young patients, while reinforcing its role in the region's pediatric healthcare.
