The must-attend event for wine lovers
The traditional Fête des Vins de La Londe-les-Maures will take place on Sunday, April 20.

Organized by the association of the Vignerons de La Londe in partnership with the City, this event brings together producers from the AOC Côtes de Provence - La Londe terroir. KNOW-HOW "Our wine festival is a strong indicator of the Municipality's commitment alongside our winegrowers. It allows us to better understand the specificities of our wines and to highlight the know-how of our winegrowers, all in a festive and friendly atmosphere," recalls François de Canson, mayor of La Londe.

Scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the city center, on Place Charles-Campoin, and coupled as every year with the Foire aux Plants, this event brings together around twenty local producers. From stand to stand, in exchange for the purchase of a branded glass for €5, wine lovers from the coast will taste the white, red, and rosé wines from the terroirs of La Londe-les-Maures, Bormes-les-Mimosas, Hyères, Porquerolles, and La Crau, grouped within the AOC La Londe.
Among the exhibitors is the domaine des Myrtes, established in La Londe-les-Maures for six generations. "For nearly two centuries, the know-how has been passionately passed down within our family," says Marie-Hélène Barbaroux. She continues: "As every year, we are happy to participate in the traditional wine festival.
It is very important to be present at this beautiful day of sharing. It is a moment of conviviality and discovery around the new vintages, a moment highly appreciated by locals from the Var and vacationers already present at this time of the year."
HIGH ENVIRONMENTAL VALUE Located at the entrance to the massif des Maures, it is in the heart of Provence that the estate withstands the test of time and enjoys this particularly exceptional terroir of La Londe-les-Maures. The manager adds: "On the 40 hectares we farm, we produce complex and powerful crus, using High Environmental Value (HVE) cultivation methods thanks to a microclimate and a sea breeze that temper winters that are too cold, frost risks, and severe summer heatwaves. This year, we were rewarded for our know-how in the largest French competitions, with two gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris, an overall grand prize at the Concours de la Foire de Brignoles for obtaining three gold medals, and one gold medal and two silver medals at the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants in Paris."
Finally, the estate carries out HVE market gardening with year-round fruit and vegetable production. There is a fine production of citrus fruits, oranges, clementines, mandarins, lemons, limes, bergamot lemons, kumquats, and from June onwards, summer fruits (peaches, nectarines, and apricots). It also cultivates one hectare of olive trees, allowing it to produce its own "extra virgin" sweet and fruity French olive oil.
