What themes are the focus of this second edition?

Métiers et des Industries de l’Hôtellerie du Var has chosen to focus its upcoming professional meetings around the theme 'Good professionals or also regulations regarding accessibility and alcohol consumption. These meetings are an opportunity to inform and raise awareness among professionals about the latest legislative developments and concrete actions to be put in place.

For example, how to recruit and retain staff?

Employment remains one of the key challenges of the hotel and catering industry, in a context where the lack of qualified labor slows down the development of establishments. This event allows for exchanges with experts Cyr-sur-Mer). Indeed, we noticed, particularly after the pandemic period, that the legislation concerning our sector had evolved a lot, as had the behavior of our clients. However, our members did not necessarily know about this evolution in regulations, which brought new requirements and new standards.

Beyond regulation, what are the other important points for the sector?

First of all, these enriching moments of exchange key themes such as the management of allowed cafés, brasseries... in all regions and departments of France. Uniting 71% of unionized businesses, the UMIH is the leading employers' union in the CHRD sector (cafés – hotels – restaurants - nightclubs – caterers - beach attendants) and one of the most important French employers' unions. The UMIH is present and active in all French departments, in mainland France and overseas. It is more than 2,000 elected officials and 400 employees who ensure on a daily basis the addressing of promotion and the defense of professions in the CHRD sector.
