The Téléthon, a great moment of solidarity

This event, which brought together a large part of the local community, took place in the presence of Yves Palmieri, the mayor, Cédric Marc, coordinator of the AFM Téléthon Var, and the treasurers of the association. "This event proved that solidarity and community commitment are essential values in La Farlède. For nearly 30 years, or even more, the Farlédois, by mobilizing for noble causes, have shown that everyone can help make a difference, one step at a time. The Ville continues to be a pillar of solidarity and mutual aid, by organizing other initiatives in favor of research and health," the first magistrate rejoiced. This ceremony therefore celebrated the generosity and commitment of the residents against genetic diseases. Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and donors, the Téléthon raised €11,255.60, precious funds intended to finance medical research. Finally, the Ville presented a cheque for €2,320, a sum representing the donations collected during the "Octobre Rose" and "Movember" solidarity walks. These initiatives, which highlight the fight against breast cancer and men's health, were supported by local associations, notably Lei Bouscarles, represented by its president Annie Babou, and Lei Rigaous, represented by its president Pierre Fouin, who played an active role in organizing these events. Their presence bears witness to the importance of solidarity and commitment in the fight against diseases. The donations collected are intended for the Fondation ARC, which works for cancer research. The ceremony concluded with a warm, friendly gathering, allowing participants to discuss and share their experiences. This moment strengthened the bonds between the members, united by the same goal of supporting research and bringing hope to those who need it.
