This sporting challenge brought together 307 children from the elementary schools of the commune, who took part in a race full of determination on March 31 and April 1. This event, aimed at promoting the sporting spirit and the values of the Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques, was crowned with success thanks to the enthusiasm of the young participants and the support of their teachers. A big congratulations was extended to everyone for their commitment and energy.

To mark the importance of this launch, two high-level athletes agreed to be the patrons of the foulées: Émilie Respeaut, a member of the France volleyball team at the Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024, and Pierrick Roumanet, an athlete from AJS Athlétisme. Their presence inspired the young athletes and illustrated the values of perseverance and courage. On this occasion, Hélène Arnaud-Bill, mayor of La Garde, presented the medal of the Ville to Pierrick Roumanet. Champion de France Handisport in the 200 and 400 meters and military world champion in the long jump, the athlete embodies resilience after being seriously injured during a military operation. His journey, marked by challenges, is a model of courage and determination, as Hélène Arnaud-Bill emphasized during the presentation of the medal: "It is an example of courage and determination for us all." This event was a great success, not only for the children who took up the sporting challenge, but also for La Garde, which continues to promote Olympic and Paralympic values among its young citizens.
