A solidarity run to raise awareness about autism

A unique and solidarity-based sporting event aiming to promote the inclusion of autistic people while raising public awareness of the challenges of this disability. Under a sunny sky, numerous participants gathered to take part in this festive race, marked by a true spirit of solidarity. Among them, children, teenagers, adults, and people with disabilities ran together all along the route, proving that beyond the race, it was fraternity and coming together that were highlighted.

AWARENESS Hélène Arnaud-Bill, mayor of La Garde, expressed her emotion at the public's enthusiasm for this cause: "the involvement of the Gardéens and, in particular, young people, bears witness to a collective awareness of the need to support the inclusion of autistic people. It is a powerful moment of cohesion and solidarity".

And, Céline Murena, municipal councillor delegated to the fight against the effects of disability, stressed the importance of the event: "What I take away from this morning is the smile of these athletes, driven by the pleasure of participating and meeting other people. At the start, everyone set off and all barriers vanished. Together we will continue to change perceptions".

The event benefited from the support of local organizations (CHRS Accueil Femina and Maison Relais Aglaé). These structures took part in the race with enthusiasm, marking the importance of this day in changing society's perception of disability: "We proudly participated in the Bubble Run. It is important to change perceptions on disability," shared the teams of these establishments.

The Bubble Run 2025 will remain an unforgettable moment in the memory of the participants, but also a call to action to make the inclusion of autistic people a daily reality. In La Garde, as elsewhere, it is now more essential than ever to break down barriers and celebrate differences in a spirit of solidarity and unity.
