Cassandre Dubille, a charming ambassador for the Var

This competition is dedicated to teenagers from the Sud region. The young Londaise aged 15, who auditioned on her birthday, is one of the 30 finalists who will parade during the final to be held on November 9 in l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

This election has been organized for 5 years and is now managed by Joël Rosenberger, who succeeded his mother who passed away last year. He is also a member of the board of the Comité national.

Cassandre speaks of Joël with great tenderness, as can be read in this exclusive interview. She answers questions from La Gazette du Var.

Can you introduce yourself? CASSANDRE DUBILLE. I was born in Paris but I have been living in La Londe-les-Maures for 12 years now. I am currently in 3ème at the collège Maintenon de Hyères and I am preparing for my brevet, for which I hope to get honors.

What does this competition consist of? CD. Miss 15/17 PACA is a competition dedicated to teenagers, focusing not only on elegance and poise but also on qualities such as commitment, creativity, and personality.

It aims to promote the values of self-assertion and solidarity. It is also an opportunity to meet other inspiring young women, to learn and grow together in a positive setting. For me, it means the opportunity to represent my town with pride.

Why do you wish to obtain this crown? CD. Obtaining this crown is a personal dream.

I am deeply attached to my town and I want to show everyone what it has to offer. By becoming Miss 15/17 PACA, I hope to be an ambassador for our region, inspire the young people around me, and create a sense of collective pride.

How were you selected? CD. I was selected after participating in an audition that took place on my birthday.

It included a runway show, a general knowledge test, and an interview before a jury. In total, 800 applications were reviewed, only 150 were selected, and then 30 for the final phase. It is a real challenge, but I put my whole heart into my preparation, and being chosen from among so many candidates is an immense source of pride for me.

Can you tell us a bit about your background? CD. Of course.

I have always been a reserved young woman but I have overcome challenges, particularly school bullying experiences from ages 10 to 13 that marked me. These hardships helped me build resilience and rebuild myself. It is also one of the reasons that pushed me to enter: to regain confidence and prove that when you have the will, you can overcome trials.

I firmly believe that our difficulties can turn into strength, and that is what I am trying to show through my participation in the competition.

What do Joël Rosenberger and the Comité Miss 15/17 PACA represent to you? CD. Joël, I adore him.

He is a great team leader, very kind to us. And it is the same for his team and the Comité, including Nastasia and Elena Miss 15/17 PACA 2024 who also take very good care of us. Joël is always listening, he protects us.

He considers us like a family and does everything to ensure that things run in the best possible conditions. He is like a second father to us candidates, and it is very reassuring because he also knows how to keep us in line. Everyone must be on equal footing, and that is important.

I also rely a lot on this year's 3rd runner-up Maëlys, who is also Londaise, who supports me and always gives me the best advice daily. She is a lovely girl whom I appreciate very much for her human qualities.

What is your professional dream? CD. I have several dreams!

I would like to become a pediatrician, a lawyer, or an airplane pilot. I love thrills. I have done paragliding and I should soon do my 1st skydive. I also love being in contact with children and defending the most vulnerable. It is something that speaks to me.

In addition to your professional ambitions, do you have strong convictions? CD. Absolutely.

Later on, I would like to commit to equality and women's rights, even if I do not label myself as a feminist in the traditional sense of the word. I believe that women must assert themselves more in society and fight for their rights. I admire iconic figures like Simone Veil who paved the way for our mothers and therefore for us.

What would you say to young people who want to follow a path similar to yours? CD. I would tell them to believe in themselves and not be afraid to fight to achieve their dreams.

Every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Daring to dream and to act is what keeps us moving forward. Be authentic, natural, and stay true to your convictions!

A quick word for La Londe and the Londais? What do they represent in this adventure? CD. Representing and showcasing my town, its terroir, and its riches is paramount in this adventure.

I believe in the solidarity of the Londais, in their attachment to their commune, and in their ability to mobilize to support my candidacy. I appeal to their spirit of unity. Every vote counts and can influence my progress in the competition.

I highly encourage them to participate to make the voice of La Londe heard and, of course, beyond the department of Var.
