Citizen mobilization in the service of nature

Families, local associations, volunteers from the Réserve civile communale and the Comité Communal des Feux de Forêt (CCFF), not forgetting the children of the XV du Coudon, all answered the call of the Ville and the association 'Les Chercheurs en Herbe'. 'The objective is to sow the seeds of ecological awareness from a very young age,' explained Thierry Albertini, the mayor. Between smiles, good humor, and well-filled bags, the atmosphere was friendly and committed. EDUCATIONAL ACTION

Beyond the simple act of cleaning up, the event was also educational. On site, environmental awareness workshops were offered to the youngest. Simple but impactful questions - How long does a cigarette butt take to decompose? Where does a plastic bottle abandoned in nature end up? - opened up reflections on the impact of waste and the importance of daily actions. To limit the carbon footprint of the operation, a shuttle departed from the city center to take participants to the Tourris leisure center, the starting point of the collection. An initiative praised by the participants, who were keen on consistency between their values and their actions. This 'Coudon propre' operation illustrates the ability of citizens to unite for a common cause. By combining pedagogy, concrete action, and social bonds, it proves that local commitment can have a lasting impact on our environment.
