Ceramics Festival at Villa Frouin

This artistic event (from June 27 to 29) promises to be a must-visit for art lovers and the curious, honoring contemporary creation around this ancestral and expressive material. Following the success of the Salons du Petit Format, the venue continues its mission to promote the arts by hosting this festival. Conceived as a moment of meeting and discovery, this event showcases the work of 15 contemporary ceramic artists, selected for the high standards, sensitivity, and creativity of their works. Organized by Nadège and Étienne Frouin, who are passionate about art and heritage, the festival is part of an approach of sharing, transmitting, and promoting contemporary creation.

HISTORY AND CREATIVITY

Nestled in a lush green setting, the Villa is much more than a simple exhibition space. Built in 1884, this exceptional residence is a Victorian-style English cottage, a unique architectural rarity on the Côte d’Azur. Listed for its architectural interest, it now embodies the dialogue between historical heritage and contemporary creation. Throughout the year, the owning couple organizes cultural events, promoting sensitive forms of expression such as ceramics, exhibitions, meetings, and graphic arts. The Ceramics Festival is part of this dynamic, with the ambition of becoming a highlight of the local art scene. The choice of ceramics, a material both ancestral and resolutely contemporary, was an obvious one. The works presented bear witness to the high standards, sensitivity, and creativity of the selected artists. This new event promises to be a great addition to the local artistic landscape, and a must-see for all lovers of ceramic art.
