A wonderful recognition for their commitment throughout the year to a project dedicated to the Résistance during World War II.

Convinced that "children are transmitters of memory," their teacher, Valérie Muffat, entered her class in this competition run by the ANMONM. A successful challenge, praised during the ceremony attended by Hélène Arnaud-Bill, mayor of La Garde, Marc Gosselin, president of the ANMONM of Var, and Marjorie Gardiol, inspector of the Éducation nationale.

HISTORICAL RESEARCH The educational project combined historical research, reading testimonies and artistic creations to produce a series of illustrated stories, retracing the paths of local figures of the Résistance. "Rigorous, sensitive and deeply civic-minded work," emphasized M. Gosselin.

The Prix Mémoire, awarded each year in several departments, aims to encourage school initiatives that perpetuate the duty of remembrance and republican values. The ANMONM recalls that these projects contribute to the development of young citizens, anchoring history in a reflection on the rights, duties, and commitments of everyone.

Through this approach, the CM2 students of école Langevin have proven that memory is not the business of historians alone, but also that of children, when they are guided with high standards and trust.
