The young elected officials are brimming with ideas!
On June 4, the Mussou hall hosted the plenary session of the Conseil de Ville des Jeunes (CVJ) of La Garde.
The 25 young elected officials, from the schools of the municipality, proudly presented their projects after a year of civic engagement. With tricolor sashes over their shoulders, they took the floor seriously to present their proposals aimed at improving local life. Among the key ideas: the installation of self-service lines in canteens, equipment to secure school surroundings, storage for bicycles and scooters, misting fans in classrooms, a CVJ newspaper, or an intergenerational project to fight the isolation of seniors.
Olympics, carnival, arcade room: the children's creativity impressed the assembly.
The CVJ, more than just a place for debate, allows young people to actively get involved in the municipality. They are also present at official inaugurations and commemorations. “Thanks to the commitment of the children, their parents, and the supervisory team, the CVJ has become a real driving force for civic participation,” emphasized Mr.
Guillouzic, municipal councillor, praising the work of coordinator Aurélia.
The mayor Hélène Arnaud-Bill expressed her pride: “What a beautiful moment today at the plenary assembly of the Conseil de Ville des Jeunes! I was very impressed by the quality of the work presented by these committed young people throughout the year. Bravo and thank you to them for their dedication, seriousness, and enthusiasm.
