On this occasion, numerous events are organized around this date throughout France to promote sport and Olympism. Thus, in the Var, sports enthusiasts gathered at the Léo-Lagrange sports complex in Toulon, at the invitation of the Comité Départemental Olympique et Sportif (CDOS) du Var and the UNSS du Var. Nearly 500 pupils from primary and middle schools in the Métropole Toulon Provence Méditerranée participated throughout the day in numerous sports initiations (athletics, handball, basketball, boccia, orienteering, chess, fencing, golf, wrestling, rugby...)
and to numerous stands (environment, escape game on sedentary lifestyles, sport-health with the PARIH 83, etc.)
In addition, a ceremonial moment punctuated the afternoon on the track of the Léo-Lagrange stadium, in the presence of Laurent Labeaune, president of the CDOS du Var, and Caroline Jouisse, Olympic swimmer and godmother of Olympic Day in the Var.
