Your festivities in July and August
La Garde comes alive this summer with a multitude of free events for all tastes.
Les Nuits du Mas features three musical evenings under the stars. The brass quintet Ad Libitum Brass 5 will perform, followed by the Chœurs de l’Opéra on Tuesday, July 15 at 9 p.m. and the Trio Alphea on Tuesday, July 22 at 9 p.m. at the Mas de Sainte Marguerite.
Cinema under the stars
Free outdoor cinema screenings are scheduled in July at 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 16: Astérix, mission Cléopâtre, Wednesday, July 23: The Mask.
Tango Ball
The association Tango Bleu 83 is organizing a tango evening on Saturday, July 19 at 8 p.m. at place de la République.
Night markets
Night markets will be held on July 24 and August 7 from 7 p.m., featuring crafts, jewelry, and clothing.
Fiesta in Sainte Marguerite
The coastal district celebrates its major annual festival on July 26 and 27, with convivial tables and entertainment for young and old.
Grand free summer concert: Chimène Badi
Chimène Badi will perform on Wednesday, July 30 at 9:30 p.m. with eleven musicians and backing vocalists. "A stage is always beautiful! I am lucky to do a job I am passionate about! Being on stage with the Richard Gardet orchestra is great. Three choirs and musicians accompany me. We are going to offer the public a beautiful evening. The show is called \"Entre nous\" and evokes, through the choice of songs, both memories and the history I have shared with the public for over 20 years. There will also be covers of artists I admire and songs I want people to discover," says Chimène Badi.
Nocturnes Médiévales: the flagship event of the summer
From August 1 to 3, from 7 p.m. to midnight, the place de la République is transformed into a medieval fair with stalls, taverns, live shows, and a funfair.
Les Contes du Rocher
A storytelling evening will be held on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:30 p.m. on the forecourt of the église de la Nativité, featuring tales from the Moyen-Orient, Amérique du Sud, and Québec.
La Fête de la Libération
On August 22 and 23, La Garde relives 1944 with a historical reenactment, a parade, and a celebration at place de la République.
Garlic, onion, and black pudding fair
On Sunday, August 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., La Garde celebrates garlic, onion, black pudding, and the flavors of Provence.
