Var celebrated the everyday (and discreet) police heroes
On July 10, for the Journée nationale de la Police Nationale, Simon Babre, préfet du Var, presided over a ceremony at the Tour Royale in Toulon.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the directeur interdépartemental de la police nationale, department heads of the police nationale, and civil and military authorities. The ceremony began with a tribute to the police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. This moment of contemplation highlighted the sacrifice made by these men and women in the service of public safety and peace. Then, several police officers received decorations for their commitment to the service of the inhabitants of Var. A powerful moment, as this distinction rewards their dedication and bravery. Each of these police officers distinguished themselves through their exemplary commitment, whether in interventions, investigations, or prevention missions.
In the presence of:

Laure LAVALETTE, deputy of Var,
Stéphane RAMBAUD, deputy of Var,

Yannick CHENEVARD, deputy of Var,
Josy CHAMBON, regional councillor, Hervé CILLA, deputy mayor of La Crau, in charge of security, police, and crime prevention, Jérôme MARTIN, contrôleur général, directeur interdépartemental de la police nationale (DIPN).
