A municipal mutual insurance for access to healthcare

On June 27, as part of the implementation of the municipal mutual insurance, the Ville du Pradet signed the official agreement with LMF ASSO SANTÉ. Faced with the difficulties encountered by certain groups in accessing quality health coverage — particularly retirees (4 Pradétans out of 10 are over 60 years old), self-employed workers or beneficiaries of the CCAS (Centre Communal d’Action Sociale) — the Municipalité chose to offer a concrete solution: the implementation of a municipal mutual insurance. This system, already tested in several municipalities of the metropole, is based on a simple principle: to offer a collective complementary health insurance, at a negotiated rate, accessible to all residents, without age or income conditions. This initiative is part of a municipal desire to respond effectively and appropriately to local realities. By facilitating access to complementary health insurance for the most exposed populations, the commune affirms its commitment to local solidarity, based on freedom of choice and responsibility. •

On Thursday, July 17, at the invitation of the Municipalité, more than a hundred Pradétans gathered to attend the public meeting dedicated to the presentation of the municipal mutual insurance.

Organized in a friendly atmosphere, this evening aimed to raise awareness of this solidarity system, designed to facilitate access to healthcare for all residents of the commune. During the meeting, the speakers took the time to detail the benefits of this initiative: negotiated rates, without age or income conditions, guarantees adapted to everyone's needs, and personalized support in the procedures. The exchanges with the public were numerous and constructive. Participants were able to ask their questions, share their expectations and receive clear answers, in a spirit of transparency and listening. At the end of the evening, the participants expressed their satisfaction, highlighting the useful, clear and reassuring nature of this meeting.
