“Varoises” promotes women's commitment
The “Varoises” association represents women's commitment. It was officially launched on June 30 at villa Rocabella la Corniche in Le Pradet.
The “Varoises” association aims to bring together women from the department who are committed to various fields such as medicine, education, agriculture, entrepreneurship, high-level sport, or politics. Founded by Véronique Lenoir, vice-president of the Département, Valérie Rialland, departmental councillor, and Hélène Basset, who is active in the wine sector, it is supported by the senator of Var, Françoise Dumont.
YOUNG GENERATIONS Thus, the association promotes mutual aid, solidarity, friendship, and the sharing of experiences. It organizes events (round tables, conferences, meetings, dinner-debates) to encourage exchanges between women and foster a supportive, active, and innovative local network serving social, economic, and political progress.
“Varoises” wishes to inspire young generations to get involved. It highlights that commitment, self-surpassing, and success are accessible to all those who choose to invest themselves, regardless of their background or field of activity. The success of committed women in Var is seen as an asset for the entire region.
The inaugural evening featured a conference on female leadership, hosted by Fanny Auverny Bennetot, journalist and communication consultant, and Julie Crouzillac, executive director of ADN Groupe and author of the book Les négociatrices. A cocktail reception then allowed for continued exchanges in a friendly setting.
TRADITIONS AND MODERNITY Françoise Dumont, patron of the association, declared: “As a committed woman and senator of Var, I am deeply honored to assume the role of patron for the Varoises association! Women's commitment in Var.
Indeed, the women of Var, the Côte d'Azur, and Provence, through their commitment, have contributed to making Var what it is today: a perfect balance between traditions and modernity. This initiative resonates with my convictions and my political career, where promoting the role of women in all sectors of society has always been a priority.
[...] Together, let us make women's commitment in Var not only a reality, but an example that our department can boast of with pride!
” Then, Véronique Lenoir added: “Varoises! is an opportunity for me to highlight all the committed women in Var, regardless of their area of expertise, and to create a network of reflection and influence for innovative ideas.”
Finally, Valérie Rialland stressed: “My commitment within Varoises! aims to facilitate and realize these encounters between influential women, to encourage and shine a light on the women who, daily, enable innovative projects to showcase our beautiful department.”
For her part, Hélène Basset, who is active in rural areas and with cooperative wineries, shares the same vision of a unifying and inspiring network.
