The City awarded the Marianne d’Or du Développement Durable
On July 11, in the green setting of the Jardin Remarquable de Baudouvin, the City celebrated its Marianne d’Or du Développement Durable, awarded on July 1st.
A prestigious distinction that rewards the City's commitment to a greener and more responsible future.
Thierry Albertini, the mayor, surrounded by his elected officials, numerous partners, and citizens, expressed his pride: "This award recognizes a collective effort, the result of the involvement of municipal staff, associations, public and private partners, local businesses, and, of course, the Valettois themselves." COLLECTIVE METHOD The evening was marked by the symbolic presence of the Conseil Municipal des Enfants and the Conseil des Sages, embodying the transmission of republican values and the bond between generations, at the heart of the sustainable city project. "From the green schoolyard to the public square, from the educational garden to the bicycle path, each action reflects the same ambition: to offer present and future generations a healthier, more peaceful, and more responsible living environment," emphasized the mayor.
More than just an award, this ceremony celebrated a collective method and a shared vision, driven by a united and committed team.
The mayor thanked his elected officials, as well as Senator Françoise Dumont, and Laurent Boulet, representing the prefect of Var, testifying to the State's involvement alongside the City. The ceremony also took place in the presence of numerous association representatives and several mayors of the territory (Banjols, La Farlède, Évenos, etc.) who welcomed this well-deserved recognition.
