Christophe Gruel: "Customers prioritize pleasure quality"
After three exceptional years in terms of tourist numbers, the summer season in Var slowed down slightly.

Nothing, however, to worry Christophe Gruel, manager of the Promocash in La Farlède: "After three exceptional years, we are returning to consumption levels identical to those we observed before the health crisis." Continuing his analysis, he adds: "In the current economic context, consumers are paying more attention to their spending. This is felt by our restaurant clientele and the professionals in the sector who supply them."
"Since the start of the season with our buyers, we have offered more entry-level products to address this purchasing power issue."
"Furthermore, restaurateurs are paying more and more attention to the quality of service offered to customers. They prioritize pleasure quality over value for money."

At the same time, the brand continues its purchasing policy from local producers to support the economy of Var, particularly the wine sector. However, the decline in summer visitor numbers must be balanced by the steady growth of the population in Var. Over the past 25 years, the department has recorded an increase of 250,000 inhabitants, reaching a figure of over 1 million.
"We took over the Promocash brand 18 years ago. Indeed, we see growth in our business every year, with our revenue smoothed out over the twelve months of the year."
