You were involved from the very beginning of the construction site. What was your role?

This type of coordination requires real teamwork mechanics...

Absolutely. We had a human side.

Indeed, how did you experience the human aspect of this mission?

I never felt a heavy burden. And in 25 years of motorways, that is rare. There was mutual help, a sincere solidarity. We unwound together, we organized breakfasts between colleagues, everyone brought regional specialties. I even took up sport again in Toulon. We ran between noon and two, sometimes even at sunrise.

Did this atmosphere have an impact on your well-being?

Yes. I have a rather stressed nature, I always wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly. But the PZ points. The simplicity of daily life, precisely. Anecdotes about a sausage slicer shared in the break room, or a nickname that comes back... These are the things that stay with you. The construction site was more than a job. It was a real slice of life.

What personal lesson do you draw from this?

That nothing works without trust and teamwork. There was no ego, everyone played their part, without trying to show off. We supported each other. That is what allowed us to get through the tensions, the unexpected events, and to reach the finish line together.

A final word?

I had fun. I learned. And above all, I experienced something powerful. Every time I take this motorway, I will think of these years with a smile.
