La Valette, pilot city for the school support hub
The School Support Hubs are a new service provided to parents and legal guardians of children with special educational needs.
This organization supports teachers within schools, and La Valette-du-Var is a pilot city by hosting the system at the heart of the Marcel-Pagnol school. The PAS thus makes it possible to provide help and support to students experiencing difficulties in accessing knowledge and skills. Either educational or human support is thus offered.
“The hosting by the City of this innovative support system highlights once again the close link between practical means (infrastructure) and human resources to guarantee a quality education and good learning conditions,” welcomes Sylvie Laporte, deputy for school affairs, early childhood, youth, family, and school works. TERRITORIAL EDUCATIONAL PROJECT Furthermore, an ambitious territorial educational project has been set up to promote the educational success of young Valettois, thanks to the sharing of common values with partners, notably the services of the Éducation nationale, the State, the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (C. A.
F.), parents of students and the community life of the municipality.
On the ground, this project was designed by pooling the knowledge and skills of all partners, to encourage the development of joint actions and to facilitate their implementation. The structure is organized in such a way as to reinforce what is already in place but also to allow the deployment of new actions.
IT IS STRUCTURED AROUND 6 ESSENTIAL AXES which will place children and young people back at the center of concerns. Axis 1: Improve the quality of reception for children in extracurricular and out-of-school activities, Axis 2: Promote commitment to citizenship and sustainable development, Axis 3: Develop and strengthen the role of parents and families, Axis 4: Strengthen links with local partners through the implementation of educational actions, Axis 5: Develop extracurricular and out-of-school activities adapted to adolescents, Axis 6: Encourage the diversity of activities offered.
