Colonel Olivier Casties takes command of groupement II/6 de gendarmerie mobile
On September 26, général Arnaud Browaeys officially installed colonel Casties at the head of groupement II/6 de gendarmerie mobile.

Général de corps d'armée Arnaud Browaeys, commanding officer of the région de gendarmerie de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and the gendarmerie pour la zone de défense et de sécurité Sud in Marseille, presided over the change of command ceremony of the groupement II/6 de gendarmerie mobile of Hyères by colonel Olivier Casties inside the caserne capitaine Delort.
He thus takes command of 7 escadrons de gendarmerie mobile distributed across the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. These escadrons play an essential role in maintaining order in the region, in metropolitan France, in the overseas departments and territories, and internationally.
The gendarmerie mobile plays a central role in the public security framework, ensuring public order and population protection missions, in support of territorial units (police or gendarmerie). This responsibility entrusted to colonel Casties confirms the strategic importance of the groupement II/6 in managing security operations, particularly in the Région Sud.
