A security policy that is proving its worth
Here, security is not just a word; it is a concrete commitment.

La Gazette du Var met with local officials to review the initiatives carried out in recent years. The finding is clear: The municipality has increased actions to protect its residents and prevent risks.
STRENGTHENED RESOURCES

The Police municipale has seen its resources considerably increased. New fixed and mobile cameras complete the video protection system, while the number of officers has been revised upwards and their working conditions improved. Vehicles have been modernized. Bicycles and body-worn cameras have been acquired, the armory secured, and electronic ticketing put in place. The entire system is supervised from a state-of-the-art urban surveillance center. Schools are not left behind, with road safety workshops and an increased presence during arrival and departure times. However, vigilance is exercised daily to protect the youngest. The municipality has also focused on cooperation. The creation of the Conseil Local de Sécurité Prévention de la Délinquance et de la Radicalisation (CLSPDR) and the Groupement Partenarial Opérationnel (GPO) ensures effective coordination between the Police municipale, Police nationale, Parquet de Toulon, and social services. The GPO facilitates rapid action against disruptive behavior thanks to the commission of 'Rappels à l'ordre', a flexible tool that effectively handles situations not constituting a criminal offense. Municipal policy is not limited to urban security. Natural risk prevention has been strengthened: Obligation Légale de Débroussaillement (OLD) campaigns, fire awareness via the Centre Communal de Formation des Feux (CCFF), the creation of retention basins, and the updating of the Plan Communal de Sauvegarde. Every year, evacuation drills are organized in campsites, and resilience days raise awareness of major risks among CM1 pupils. An approach that shows that the Municipalité places the protection of everyone at the heart of its priorities.
