70 proposals for the ecological transition
At the Salon des Maires du Var, Véolia discussed the ecological transformation of territories with local elected officials.
The company presented its white paper "L'écologie, pour quoi faire?" ("Ecology, what for?"), which brings together 70 concrete proposals concerning water management and resource preservation, waste optimization and recycling, and responsible energy production and consumption.
"Health, purchasing power, social cohesion, energy sovereignty," the company explains. Ecology addresses these daily challenges.
Thus, an ELABE study confirms this, as 78% of Français place drinking water production and wastewater treatment as the number one priority for local investments. "This day was marked by rich and constructive exchanges with the department's elected officials. Coming in large numbers, they shared their specific concerns and discovered operational solutions adaptable to their territories," adds Diana Lemeur, the company's communications manager.
These discussions made it possible to better understand local needs and to identify together the most relevant courses of action.
"This time of meeting and dialogue illustrates Veolia's commitment to concretely supporting the local authorities of Var in their ecological transformation," the young woman concludes.
